The manuscript evaluator is AI-powered but not AI-led
The manuscript evaluator is not an ordinary AI tool. It knows its own limitations (we made sure of that).
It may not be perfect but it is able to see your text for what it is: an experience in development. It’s as close to a realistic reading as you can currently get – at lightning speed.
The big question : how did we test it?
We fed both generic AI and our Manuscript Evaluator the same texts and asked to perform a literary evaluation, and then to predict what human readers would say … this is what happened :

Texts that were experienced as flat by our human readers, would also receive low scores consistently.

What’s the reason behind this result?
AI generally does not by default understand, that it operates on a model of reality, derived from text, rather than actual, physical reality. Within this model of reality, it operates with extreme confidence. It needs our human leadership to bridge the gap.

Does it increase my chances of being published?
The Manuscript Evaluator cannot promise publication. No serious evaluation can.
This is not a limitation of evaluation itself, but a function of literature. Publication depends on fit. An agent or publisher is always asking: does this fit my list, and am I the right person to publish this?
But aside from fit, there is impact.
Impact determines how strongly the manuscript’s experience lands. The Manuscript Evaluator helps you understand and strengthen that impact, so your work has a better chance of reaching the people who are looking for the kind of experience your manuscript offers.
What languages are available?
The Manuscript Evaluator can work with any language known to AI.
The evaluation will be written in the main language of the manuscript you upload.
Can I discuss the results with the evaluator?
At the moment, the evaluation is delivered as a structured report. You cannot have an ongoing conversation with the evaluator after the report is generated.
We are working on expanding the offer in the future, and it may become possible to use the evaluator for follow-up discussions later.
How can I get a refund?
As long as your money-back warranty is still valid and has not been voided, you can contact us with the email address you used to purchase the evaluation.
We will get back to you as soon as possible to issue the refund.
Do I need a finished manuscript to use it?
Your manuscript does not have to be finished.
The Manuscript Evaluator can be useful during development, when you are still making structural decisions, as well as later, when the manuscript feels close to finished and you want a full evaluation.
This is why we offer short and long evaluations. The shorter evaluation can be used more frequently to check the current state of your manuscript. The longer evaluation is better suited for a deeper reading and more detailed developmental insight.
Does it work with non-fiction?
The Manuscript Evaluator is currently built mainly for fiction.
It has been tested extensively on fiction manuscripts at different stages, but only marginally on non-fiction. If you are familiar with our approach and categories and would like to try it on a non-fiction manuscript, you are welcome to do so.
Our recommendation, however, is to use it for fiction. A non-fiction evaluator may follow in the future.
I bought evaluations but I don’t intend to use them anymore. What can I do?
If you bought evaluations and have not used them yet, you have 14 days to receive a full refund.
Just contact us with the email address you used to make the purchase.
Is my manuscript saved anywhere?
Your manuscript is only used to generate the evaluation.
It is not stored or used in any way after that. All evaluations are kept private. We only store the name of the uploaded file for your own reference in the archive.
What if I disagree with the evaluation?
The evaluator is not built to generate a result the user is likely to agree with. That is part of what makes it useful as a tool for seeing your own work from another angle.
If you do not like the angle we use, and you have not voided your money-back warranty, you can ask for a refund.
If you feel there has been a technical error with your reading, or another serious issue on our side, please contact us so we can resolve it. You may be eligible for a refund or a reevaluation after the technical issue has been fixed.
Will it rewrite or edit my manuscript?
No.
The Manuscript Evaluator does not rewrite, edit, polish, or repair your text. It is built to help you see the manuscript more clearly, not to take authorship away from you.
It evaluates how developed the work is, what is already formed, where the architecture may still need development, and where revision may have begun to flatten the experience.
